Carto Canada Inc. – Drone Equipment and LiDAR

Notice is hereby given that City of Prince George (the “City”) intends to direct award a contract to CartoCanada In. (the Supplier) for the purchase of a DJI Matrice 400 Worry-Free Plus Combo and Zenmuse L2 LiDAR with accessories.

DJI is the manufacturer of the Matrice 400 Drone and Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and Carto Canada Inc. is a partner with Spatial Technologies whom the City currently uses for servicing and support for existing survey equipment within the City. The DJI Matrice drone and Zenmuse LiDAR are optimally compatible with our existing DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone and will integrate seamlessly with the City’s Agisoft Metashape workflows, enabling streamlined operations and robust technical support.

This direct award will enable the City to acquire a drone that will allow for a robust payload to add additional accessories to further expand data collection and capabilities for the City. The addition of the LiDAR further supports the data needs for the City as seamlessly integrates with the Matrice drone. The L2 LiDAR will allow for precise scans, high- level precision, efficiency in collecting both geospatial and RGB data, and intuitive operation with solutions that the City is familiar with already. 

The value of the contract is expected not to exceed $75,000.00.
