Description
BC Parks is inviting proposals to implement prescribed wildfire risk reduction hand treatments in 56.3 hectares of Shuswap Lake Provincial park over a 4 year contract term, with 8-22 hectares of treatment per year (subject to funding). More hectares of treatment per year may be completed subject to funding. The first year of treatment is intended to be 11.6 hectares of treatment.
The services required include but are not limited to: tree pruning and thinning by hand, surface fuel reduction, and treatment debris disposal by pile burning (completed concurrently with treatment where conditions allow) or other methods that are proposed.
