Description
The Legislative Assembly's Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA) Department will be the main client for this contract; however, other departments, in particular the Legislative Facility Services (LFS), will use the service from time to time as well.
The dry cleaning, laundering and tailoring requirements (hereafter “Laundry Requirements,” or “Service”) are complex due to the ceremonial and security obligations of the Legislative Assembly. Requirements vary from the laundering of business attire to the mending of ceremonial garments required for House proceedings, to the security prerequisites and tracking of all laundered items. Turnaround times for all laundered items are critical to the business conducted in and around the precinct, especially those of the Legislative Assembly Protective Services (LAPS), Screening Staff, Mailroom Staff, and Sessional Staff.
