Standardbred Canada is an incorporated non-profit organization whose mandate is to supervise, record, store and  distribute information on all registered Standardbreds and to promote harness racing in Canada and beyond.

Standardbred Canada is the only record keeping body for the standardbred industry in Canada, and their
computerized system facilitates the production of race programs and provides the means for provincial regulators to instantly establish a horse's eligibility. Pertinent information about every registered Standardbred horse and licensed Standardbred Owner, Trainer and Driver is entered into the Standardbred Canada proprietary database by representatives in racing jurisdictions across Canada, providing provincial regulators with secure access to required information.

The services supplied by Standardbred Canada to the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) are required for  Standardbred Horse Racing to continue operating in BC and include: General Access to the secure Standardbred Canada database system; delinquent license reports; Lasix tracking; Fines & Suspension information; and Report Creation Services.
