Notice of Intent to Award a Contract
Notice is hereby given by the City of Pitt Meadow, of its intent to award to International Water Screens (IWS) for the design and supply of automated travelling debris screen at Kennedy Pump Station. The screens will remove debris build-up and other solid materials from the pump station forebays, preventing such materials from entering, blocking, or damaging the pump equipment.
The approximate value of the award is $1,200,000 plus applicable taxes for Kennedy Pump Station.
The City of Pitt Meadows did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:Maintain standardization of the automated travelling debris screen to ensure consistent operation, reduced risk, and reduced costs associated with parts, repair and maintenance Lack of competition for technical reasons. IWS has the unique qualifications and skills required for this project The installation and delivery timeline is compressed, and proceeding with a tendering or RFP process would likely put the project behind schedule.Submission of Objection Notice
Any Respondents that wish to object to this decision they should email their objection with specific reasons by 2:00 p.m., local time, June 18, 2026 to procurement@pittmeadows.ca
