Project – Community Advisory Facilitator
The City of New Westminster is seeking a skilled Community Advisory Facilitator who is experienced, remains neutral and can facilitate group processes, dialogue-based meetings, participatory democracy and deliberative dialogue.
The role of the facilitator will be to support and guide the Assembly in achieving its mandate. The facilitator will not be considered a “member” of the Assembly group and will not participate in the content of Assembly discussions (i.e. not provide their opinions/perspective on the topic under discussion). It is key that the facilitator maintains neutrality and equity in their work.
The Community Advisory Assembly is a new group that will be set up in 2023 as a pilot project. The pilot will include a one-year term for the Assembly group, with a comprehensive evaluation process following the end of the term.
