Notice is hereby given that the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Dr. Kim Stanton (the “Supplier”).
The high-level details of the contemplated contract are generally described below.
The Supplier will provide strategic and innovative advice on matters relating to the OPCC’s first systemic investigation, including but not limited to:the investigation plan, evidence collection and analysis, and reporting writing and recommendations. This investigation will examine how municipal police departments and designated units in British Columbia prevent, investigate, and address workplace related sexualized conduct by police officers. The Supplier will therefore also:provide subject matter and authoritative advice respecting gender-based violence and discrimination, equality rights, systemic discrimination, sexual harassment/misconduct in workplaces, legal frameworks, police accountability and culture, and systemic/inquiry processes. provide strategic advice related to the systemic investigation of sexualized harassment in the workplace, including the legal framework for preventing and responding to workplace harassment and sexualized misconduct in municipal and designated police agencies in British Columbia.
