    Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (the “Health Authority(s)”) intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide CO2 Ultrapulse Laser for Children's & Women's Health Centre of BC at an estimated value of $274,255.

    In accordance with applicable trade agreements PHSA, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason

    1. the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
      (a) due to an absence of competition for technical reasons.
    Children’s and Women’s Hospital requires this equipment as it is used in Plastic surgery on patients requiring laser of skin lesions or burn scar treatment. This latest model allows the ability to expand the amount of patients we can treat using the new technology deep tissue function to treat vascular/lymphatic skin lesions as well as deep lesions, helping treat our burn patient population with scar tissue / contracture release.
    Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Morvarid Ghasemi by email to Morvarid.ghasemi@phsa.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, November 3, 2023 PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
