Notice is hereby given that Fraser Health Authority, Providence Health Care, Interior Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Provincial Health Services Authority (collectively, the “Health Authorities”), through their collective agent, Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intend to directly award a contract to the following supplier to provide Employee Absence Notification System Services (EANS) for a term of one (1) year, at an estimated value of CAD $811,308.85.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems
Rationale:
The EANS is fully integrated with the respective Health Authorities (HA’s) and enables near-real-time reporting of employee absences. The program ensures that the HA’s comply with Workers Compensation Board (WCB) regulations, promotes employee-supervisor communication and assists in identification of short-term staffing reallocation requirements. This service is critical for clinical staff that require immediate backfill due to unplanned absences. This service supports direct patient care.
