PL24TLH007 - Multi-Treatment of Herbaceous and Manual Brushing and Summer Fill Plant – Various Locations – Quesnel and Cascadia Timber Supply Area

This proposed contract is for completion of an estimated 71.9 hectares of concurrent manual brushing and summer tree planting (fill planting) in the Big Valley and Quesnel (TFL52) operating areas of Quesnel and Cascadia Timber Supply Area.

Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.

The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. 

Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations. As a condition of finalizing any service contracts with the Province, including service contracts arising from procurement processes, those contracts will require that all contractors and their personnel and any subcontractors and their personnel who will access BC government workplaces be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada, subject to any authorized exemptions. Such contracts will contain associated provisions required by and satisfactory to the Province regarding the foregoing, which may include provisions regarding mitigation measures for exempt personnel, compliance, enforcement, and the use of an attestation certifying compliance or presentation of a BC Vaccine Card by personnel.

Unverified bid results will be posted to BC Bid after tender opening and once awarded the contract award results will be available on BC Bid.
