Summary
Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Regional District of Central Okanagan (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing installation, testing and commissioning of two Atlas Copco process air blowers (which are detailed further in the Specifications and Exhibits A and B). Both of the process air blowers and some of the ancillary equipment (as per the Specifications) have been pre-purchased by the District and will be delivered to the Place of the Work by the District, ready for the Contractor to perform the Work.
Full details of the Work required is provided in Divisions 01 and 15, plus Exhibits A to C of this RFP. A summary of the Work is as follows:
• Removal of two existing blowers and associated concrete pads, electrical, and process air piping
• New concrete equipment pads
• All labour, equipment, and materials required to complete installation of the two District supplied Atlas Copco process air blowers. Each process blower supply generally includes the process blower, harmonic filter, piping expansion joints, and one (1) Optimizer 4.0 controller to control both blowers.
• Supply and install process air piping and valving and complete connections
• Supply and install power feeds and electrical breakers
• Supply and install instrumentation and controls wiring and two pressure instruments. Programming and integration to be completed by others.
• Restoration of all impacted areas.
Location: The Place of the Work is the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WRWTP), located at 4261 Gellatly Road South, West Kelowna, BC, as shown on the Drawings.
Contract Time: The following are key Milestone Dates required for the Work:
• The Work may commence anytime after: January 1, 2023
• The anticipated blowers delivery date: January 20, 2023
• The Work must be Ready-For-Takeover no later than: February 28, 2023
Form of Contract: The Form of Contract to be executed between the District and the Contractor for the Work will be the CCDC2 – 2020 Stipulated Price Contract, as modified by Supplementary Conditions.
