Description
KGH Medical Imaging General Radiographic (Gen Rad) System:
KGH Gen Rad System located in Kelowna, BC, includes the replacement of the existing Gen Rad unit and reconfiguring the existing control room to address radiation and staff safety concerns. In addition, the existing Radiologist room will be repurposed and converted into a future chest X-ray room to enhance imaging capacity and support operational efficiency.
KGH Negative Pressure System (NPS) for 4 South (4S) Pediatrics:
KGH NPS also located in Kelowna, BC, includes modifying the existing HVAC system serving two Isolation Rooms to establish compliant negative pressure airborne isolation capability, including the provision of required pressure differentials, monitoring systems, and alarm notifications, to support a safe clinical environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
PVC General Radiographic (Gen Rad) System:
PVC Gen Rad System located in Armstrong, BC, includes installing a new ceiling mount compliant X-Ray system with required Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural upgrades.
The Services are expected to commence by June 2026 for all Projects, with the anticipated construction completion timelines as follows:KGH Gen Rad System: August 2027 KGH NPS: July 2027 PVC Gen Rad System: September 2027 The P3 Service Provider will be conducting construction services for the KGH Projects.
The Project Delivery method for the PVC Gen Rad System will be Design-Bid-Build (CCDC 2 2020).
Contract Type: 3 x AIBC 6C (1 for each project)
