RC26230-009 Multi-Use Trail Professionals Services List (2025)
Ministry Of Environment and Parks which is responsible for authorizing construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of trails and trail networks as well as administration of a network of legally established trails and trail networks across the province. This is done for all manner of trail user throughout the province of British Columbia and in the spirit of the Trails Strategy for British Columbia. Many trail networks are managed in partnership with a variety of non-profit trail organizations.
Ministry staff such as Recreation Officers with Recreation Sites and Trails and various staff with BC Parks may work alone or with partners engaged in the planning, development, upgrade and management of new or existing trail networks to ensure that they meet the needs of the users while being in compliance with provincial legislation, regulation, policy, strategies, standards and best management practices.
The purpose of this Multi-Use Trail Professionals Services List is to replace the (now) expired Trails Professional list. The provincial government spent considerable time updating chapter 6 Procurement standards for services and contracts. This updating of our policies and standards has increased transparency for suppliers on projects being offered by the buyers.
Consultants experienced in the following Service Areas:
• Trail Planning / Assessment / Design
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Macro-scale Trail Planning / Land Planning
• Trail Network Planning
• Trail Field Design
• Trail Field Assessment
• Trail Construction
• Hand Built Trail
• Machine Built Trail
• Trail Maintenance
• Trail Rehabilitation
Based on the review of the applicant responses, the province intends to establish a new Multi-Use List of Trail Professionals Service List (MUTPSL), Suppliers who may be contacted by Provincial staff through various ministries and not exclusive to Ministry of Environment and Parks for services related to Trails.
The MUTPSL will be hosted online through BC Bid, and is *live for qualified suppliers to upload and update their services for view by buyers within the Provincial government, partner agencies, local governments, and not-for-profit established agreement holders.
Closing date and time:
The opportunity will Open December 19, 2025 2:00pm (PST). The Opportunity will complete its initial intake on February 17, 2026 2:00pm (PST). Once the first round of applications is assessed, scored and notifications are sent to successful respondents, the province will notify through (BC Bid) the live ‘rolling’ application period amendment stage.
Applications received by February 17th, 2026, will be evaluated together for administrative efficiency. Responses received after the Initial Intake Date and Time will be evaluated on a rolling or periodic basis, as determined by the Ministry.
All Responses, regardless of submission timing, will be evaluated using the same qualification criteria and evaluation process. Submission timing does not confer priority or preference.
This opportunity will be considered an Evergreen (LIVE) option hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Parks and managed through BC Bid for Buyers and Suppliers.
Past suppliers who were previously on the list are encouraged to re-apply for access to be placed on this new MUTPSL opportunity as well as interested suppliers who previously were not successful or have not been listed as a supplier on the expired list.
