Description
The District of North Vancouver (DNV) is developing a long term strategy to restore the shoreline in Whey-ah-Wichen/Cates Park(WAW/Cates Park), to enhance its resilience to storms and future climate extremes while being sensitive and preserve the cultural and historical significance of the site.
The restoration will be designed with nature-based solutions that preserve existing archaeological resources, protect cultural values, provide education opportunities, and enhance traditional management practices and current park and tourism operator uses.
The District invites detailed Proposals from consultant firms (“Proponents”) with expertise in coastal engineering, shoreline protection, ecological restoration, nature-based solutions, and environmental design for the provision of a shoreline restoration plan.
