Closing date and time 2022/07/19 19:00 EDT
Description
The District’s Utilities Department is seeking solutions to redevelop its existing GIS application for its watermain replacement program. The existing GIS application selects watermains for replacement based on a series of risk and consequence factors. The Utilities Department uses this application annually to update the watermain replacement program with current GIS data from the District’s existing GIS system. The District replaces approximately 4-5km of existing watermain every year. The efficiency of the application is critical to maintaining timely workflows for design and construction of the watermain replacement program which occurs year round with two full-time construction crews.
The last update to the application was in 2012, so the District needs to redevelop the program to ensure it can run efficiently on current IT applications and enterprise software systems, which are detailed below. The District expects the new application to provide at a minimum the same level of analysis and automation as the existing application. The District invites detailed Proposals from experienced consultant firms or software developers (“Proponents”) with expertise in FME workbench development for the provision of the redevelopment of the District’s watermain replacement program GIS application. These backend application components must be built in FME Desktop. Proponents interested in this opportunity are invited to submit a Proposal.
