Summary Details:Through this Request for Proposals, the District of Summerland seeks a Consultant to lead the review of the District’s land assets and provide technical considerations of future needs for land retention and/or land disposal. The Consultant will also be asked to consider targeted land parcels that can be recommended for potential future acquisition. Following a list of parcels being identified for retention, acquisition, and disposal priority, and confirmation of this list with District Council, the Consultant will be responsible to provide preliminary market appraisals of land assets that have been selected for disposition.

Submission of Proposals
To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via BC Bid’s Supplier “e-Bidding” submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFP.
Proposals must be received no later than the RFP Closing Date and Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Proponent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time. There will be no public opening.
Term of Engagement:
The successful Proponent should be prepared to commence work swiftly after the Agreement is awarded. The District hopes to have the Land Acquisition & Disposition Strategy complete and reported to Council by June 30, 2024
Budget:
The District has a maximum budget of $89,000 for the Land Acquisition & Disposition Strategy. The District has applied for a grant of up to $50,000 for the Non-Market Housing Partnerships item but has not received a decision from the funder yet as to whether or not the District will be approved for the grant. The Non-Market Housing Partnerships work will only proceed if we are successful in obtain grant funding.
