This Opportunity is an invitation by the District of Summerland to prospective Respondents to submit non-binding Proposals to provide insurance brokerage and risk advisory services.

The RFP documents set out:The details of the goods or services that the District is seeking, as further described in Section 2 - Deliverables; The process for submission, evaluation and award of the Agreement; The proposed terms and conditions of the Agreement; and The forms which outline the information a Respondent should submit in their Proposal.
Submission of Proposals
To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via bids&tenders online bid submissions functionality in accordance with the instructions in the Opportunity document. Proposals must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time.
Requirements for Participation and Requirements to Request to Participate
Proposals not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will be excluded from further consideration in the evaluation process.Mandatory Criteria 1The Proposal must be received before the Closing Date & Time 2The Proposal must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.8 – Submission of Proposals 3The Proposal must include the submission requirements listed in Appendix C – Submission Requirements.
The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:Business License WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter (or equivalent if the Supplier operates in another jurisdiction) addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing Commercial General Liability Insurance coverage as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement Professional Errors and Omissions Insurance coverage as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement Appropriate Agency licence from the Insurance Council of British Columbia Appropriate Individual licence(s) from the Insurance Council of British Columbia
Term of Engagement
The successful Respondent should be prepared to commence work immediately after the Agreement is awarded. The term of the Agreement will be from the date of execution until August 15, 2029 (i.e. to cover pre-placement activities plus three (3) policy years), with an option in favour of the District to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for up to two (2) further policy years.
