Veteran’s Memorial Parkway & Cairndale Road Intersection Engineering Services

The City of Colwood is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide engineering design services for the detailed design of a fully signalized intersection and associated improvements at the Veterans Memorial Parkway (VMP) and Cairndale Road intersection. The intersection is currently unsignalized, with stop control on the Cairndale Road approaches and an existing pedestrian-activated crossing with overhead flashers on the north leg. It is an important east-west route for families walking to/from school. It experiences significant delays during AM and PM peak periods, with added delay and queuing anticipated as growth occurs, primarily to the south.
