ORGANICS PROCESSING SERVICES (FOOD & YARD WASTE)

The Regional District is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or composting service providers to receive and process mixed curbside food and yard waste along with yard waste drop-off at Campbell Mountain Landfill, Okanagan Falls Landfill and Keremeos Transfer Station from City of Penticton, Village of Keremeos and RDOS electoral area B, D, E, F, G, I. The intent of this RFP is to identify cost‑effective, reliable, and environmentally responsible service options that may be more beneficial than constructing and operating a Regional District owned facility.

This RFP invites proponents to submit their composting methodology, compost end use, existing capacity, proposed facility expansions, or new facility developments capable of fulfilling the Regional District’s processing needs for the short and long term.

This RFP document describes the services sought by the Regional District and sets out the RDOS’s RFP process, basic proposal requirements and the evaluation criteria the Regional District intends to use to select a preferred proposal.
