    MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
    Consultants must attend a site visit on the specified date and time below:

    Location of Site Meeting: Luugat, 1176, Granville Street, Vancouver, BC

    Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

    A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Consultants are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Consultants who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

    All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the RFQ Contact person prior to the date and time indicated in the Timetable.

    Brief Description of Work
    The registered Architect to perform as a Prime consultant for the design and construction of the complete modernization of two (2) elevators and associated fire safety system tie-in upgrades. The Luugat building, formerly known as Howard Johnson Hotel, was constructed in 1911 and features six floors, a basement, and a hotel-style layout. The building has 115 units and serves as a supportive housing for those most vulnerable to homelessness.

    The present elevators are over their service life and only one elevator is functional. The elevators are traction geared with Dover Seven stop LMH controller. In 2022, TKE Elevator Ltd provided the recommendation and capital expenditure schedule for the modernization of elevators (attached).

    The work includes two (2) Elevator Modernization and Associated Building Fire Safety Alarm System Tie-In Upgrades

    Proponents are requested to submit their Quotation Form (Appendix B) in the form prescribed herein by the Submission Deadline to the BC Housing Contact identified below in the manner set out below:
    All documentation must be submitted by email to Jblackwell@bchousing.orgSubmissions submitted in any other manner will be disqualified.  All Submissions must be received by the BC Housing computer time.  Submissions received one minute after the deadline will be not allowed and therefore be rejected.
    Submissions are to clearly indicate in the subject line the number of the RFQ.
    Your submission must be submitted in an electronic format.
