Description
This contract is for mechanical site preparation (disc trenching) over approximately 375 hectares within two (2) cut-blocks, located within approximately 75km drive of the town of Dawson Creek. Access will primarily be on paved highways, with short gravel roads requiring 4x4 access.
Work includes all labour, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to complete the prescribed treatments in accordance with contract specifications, including but not limited to:A minimum of two (2) disc trenching machines shall be maintained for the duration of the contract. Equipment configuration shall include at least one (1) disc trencher mounted on a crawler-type tracked carrier, with the second machine being either: -a rubber-tired skidder-type carrier; or
-a crawler-type tracked carrier.
The treatment areas consist of approximately 9-year-old plantations impacted by moderate-severity wildfire (2025), with an estimated 80% vegetation mortality, including standing dead and partially live stems.

• Variable treatment effectiveness due to debris and vegetation density
• Potential requirement for multiple passes in localized areas
A site viewing is strongly recommended due to the variability and complexity of site conditions.
• A scheduled site visit will occur on Friday, May 22nd, 2026

The work shall commence no earlier than August 3rd, 2026, and shall be fully completed by October 23rd, 2026.
