    The work covered consists of the supply of all labour, materials, and equipment required to reconstruct the approach to the west pier at St. Philip’s, NL. The work will require reconstruction of a 18.3m long section of cribwork, raising and reconstructing the wharf slab of a 13.1m long section of cribwork, and constructing a 11.6m long section of stacked armour stone wall, all in accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

    In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

    • Site Work including mobilization, demobilization, excavation, demolition, hauling, and disposal offsite and onsite.
    • Sampling and testing of the treated wood in accordance with the “Treated Wood Waste Disposal” Guidance Document published by the Provincial Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment” to determine disposal requirements.
    • Any required survey to set location of new Work as indicated on the drawings.
    • Construction of timber cribwork with associated rock ballast, hardwood fendering, wheelguard and blocking, and ladders.
    • Reprofiling of existing timber cribwork.
    • Supply and placement of new quarried rock fill, Class “A” granular material.
    • Supply and placement of scour protection.
    • Construction of reinforced concrete wharf deck.
    • Supply and placement of new stacked armour stone wall
    • Supply and placement of new asphalt pavement.
    • Supply and installation of new guard rail

    Contract duration

    The estimated contract period will be 5 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/10/20.
