Tactical Driver Training

Practical training to develop effective tactical driving capabilities for government of Canada drivers. Improvement of driver and vehicle occupant safety, security, and development of enhanced driving skills to respond to increased threat conditions.

Senior government officials are occasionally provided a personal driver to facilitate their travel by vehicle while in the National Capital Region. Although the driver does not perform security related functions, in the ever-evolving threat environment, it is incumbent on the Privy Council Office (PCO) to ensure these drivers can ensure the safe and secure transport of these officials under increased threat conditions. Senior government officials are provided with various security measures to ensure personal safety, and this driver training intends to augment their level of personal safety while in transit.
