    Description

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) was awarded two Greening Government Funds (GGF) to research and develop low-embodied carbon secure walls. The objective of this initiative is to propose secure wall constructions that will reduce the carbon footprint of RCMP facilities, as existing secure wall designs use conventionally high-embodied carbon construction materials like steel and concrete.

The purpose of this procurement is to perform key standardized forced entry resistance testing on the proposed low-embodied carbon secure wall assemblies. The results of the tests will determine if the low-embodied carbon secure walls meet RCMP’s security standards. The tests to be performed are industry approved standardized forced entry tests and the wall assemblies are fabricated with one type of low-embodied carbon material.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 6 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/09/30.
