    Description

Measurement Canada (MC) needs to acquire a programmable alternative current (AC) and direct current (DC) three phase regenerative grid simulator power supply system with a minimum output capacity of 40 kW.

The equipment must be able to simulate a 240 V split-phase service, consisting of a 3- wire service with a grounded neutral and two live lines L1 and L2 whose voltage waveforms are 180 degrees out of phase. The equipment must also be capable of delivering a minimum current of 80A simultaneously on L1 and L2 when operated to simulate 240 V split-phase service.

The equipment will allow, in a laboratory environment, to feed electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and to expose the EVSE to some power disturbance conditions that can be present on the power grid to which the EVSE is connected.
