    Description

    Purpose of this RFI

The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information before finalizing the requirements definition and procurement strategy for the subject project which is being carried out by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

The Hazard Prevention Program (HPP) and the Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Assessment (WHVPA) have identified situations where CNSC employees may encounter uncivil behaviour during interactions with third parties, clients, or members of the public. Such behaviours can escalate into harassment, discrimination or violence if not addressed effectively.

To mitigate these risks, one of the recommended strategies is to provide employees with situational awareness and verbal de-escalation training. This training will help reduce the likelihood of workplace harassment and violence, while supporting the CNSC’s learning priorities, particularly those related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. It will also strengthen employees’ ability to recognize and respond appropriately to potentially harassing, aggressive, or violent behaviours.

We are seeking information on the following:
    • Availability of existing training programs that could be customized for CNSC needs, or whether a new training module would need to be developed.
    • Estimated cost for customizing an existing program or developing a new solution.
    • The type of expertise and knowledge required to design and deliver training on this topic.

The details of the project and requirements are further outlined in Annex “A” – Statement of Work to this RFI.

The estimated contract period will be 60 month(s).
