Title: Greenhouse Control Replacement, Summerland Research and Development Centre
Description:
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada owns and operates a research centre in Summerland, BC that has a collection of various buildings to support research objectives. One such building is greenhouse which requires a replacement of the greenhouse control systems. Design plans have been prepared for this controls replacement and the work includes:
• Provide a complete system upgrade to the existing Argus Classic greenhouse environmental controls including all hardware, software, and relays required for all existing devices and functions in accordance with the latest industry advancements. System to be compatible with the facility’s existing production and research activities, through an advanced graphic interface, for monitoring, alarming, controlling, and data-logging .
• Location of the work: Summerland Research and Development Centre, 4200 Highway 97
• Summerland, British Columbia
• Key target completion dates: All work to be completed by March 6, 2026
Basis of selection:
This is a two phase selection process. Bidders responding to this ITT are to submit a bid in two phases. Phase One bids cover only the qualifications and experience of the Bidders. Following evaluation of Phase One bids, Bidders are advised of their competitive standing and responsive Phase One Bidders will be invited to submit a Phase Two bid. Phase Two bids cover the pricing. A combination of the Phase One and Phase Two submissions constitutes the final bid.
Initially, suppliers are invited to submit bids in the first phase of the selection procedure. Only the Phase One information asked for in the ITT is to be included in Phase One bids, and evaluation of Phase One bids will be carried out only on the Phase One information requested.
Construction Time: The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 6, 2026.
Canada retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
AAFC has adopted the Integrity Regime administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada. As a result, the integrity provisions are being applied in AAFC procurement activities as outlined in this solicitation.

Canada will post all amendments, including significant enquiries received and their replies, using GETS. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to regularly consult GETS for the most up-to-date information. Canada will not be liable for any oversight on the Bidder's part nor for notification services offered by a third party.
