REQUIREMENT
The Rogers Pass Discovery Centre (RPDC) is a visitor centre located within Glacier National Park in British Columbia. The RPDC sits within Rogers Pass National Historic Site, a historic mountain pass through the Selkirk Mountains associated with the former roadbed of the Canadian Pacific Railway line, which is now the alignment of the Trans-Canada Highway. Rogers Pass Discovery Centre completed construction in 1980. Located at the summit area of Rogers Pass, the RPDC It is currently operated as a visitor centre for both Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks. It operates as a hub for visitor information and interpretation for the associated mountain parks.
The RPDC has a history of structural and building envelope problems that past repairs have not fully resolved. Schematic designs were commissioned by Parks Canada with various options to address the structural issues, roofing system, and building envelope. The objective of the project is to rectify the structural and building envelope issues based on the current schematic design options in effort to continue to provide a safe and functional visitor experience. This project is considered a major renovation by the Parks Canada Agency and must adhere to federal mandates and directives regarding sustainable development, accessibility, sanitary facilities, and aesthetics.
TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS
This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide further qualifications and a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.

The estimated contract period will be 8 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/07/10.
