Powder material for Li-ion batteries, particularly for the anode component, needs to be processed and analysed for Quality Control before coating and assembly into a battery. Valuable information can be acquired is the Specific Surface Area of the powder. This characteristic can affect battery performance such as energy density, impedance, charge/discharge rates.

The Clean Energy Innovation at the National Research Council of Canada want to acquire one (1) BET Surface Area Analyzer to have the capability to do this type of analysis on our processed powder.
