    Description
    LRSD is seeking innovative and cost-effective proposals for Division-wide document processing equipment. This currently includes:

    Print shop hardware - Refreshing LRSD’s printshop hardware with three monochrome digital presses and one colour digital press.
    1. A3 Multifunctional Photocopiers - Refresh the existing fleet of 70 multifunction photocopiers and expand the fleet to include one colour photocopier per building (40 units).  These 110 devices should be networked multifunction photocopiers with print, scan, copy, and network fax capabilities. Equipment is currently installed at 40 schools and 3 administrative buildings.
       
    2. A4 Desktop Printers, Toner and Support - Assessment of the existing 288 printers (199 monochrome, 89 colour) in our buildings to determine the best course of action for creating an efficient solution for A3 printing in our division.  LRSD will provide the usage data from the past 12 months to assist in this study.  The division is looking for a printing solution that lowers our per click costs in a building that also takes into account the needed used cases for each building. Provide a print click and service contract for all desktop printers in the division.  Data for printing history can be provided on request.

    Bidders for this contract should be prepared to support LRSD’s existing enterprise content management solution by offering innovative ways LRSD can manage the lifecycle of digital and hardcopy content.  This includes integrating the photocopiers into LRSD’s existing document management and workflow management solutions.  They should also be prepared to optimize and manage LRSD’s document output to reduce overall capital and operating costs and improve efficiency and productivity.  LRSD is looking for cost effective solution that minimizes our reliance on printers in our schools and a solution that considers managing existing fleet or replacing with all new printers.  Bidders are welcome to bid on all three components or any variation of the three objectives. (Print Shop, A3, A4)
