    Description
    The VIA Information Technology (IT) department would like to select an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) for  comprehensive monitoring and management services in support of our IT network infrastructure evolution, including Connectivity, SDWAN/SASE Solution and Managed Services. Collectively, this will drive the evolution towards a more robust, flexible, scalable and intelligent network that will meet VIA's requirements.

    Mandatory Requirements:
    1. Official Languages
    The Proponent must provide fluent written and verbal support for the MSP solution in both official Canadian languages (English and French), according to the language of choice of VIA’s requester.
     
    2.Experience
    The Proponent must have minimum five (5) years of experience providing Managed Services for connectivity, SDWAN/SASE, networking for clients in Canada and/or US of similar scale and complexity to VIA and;

    A minimum of three (3) references must be provided for VIA to contact.
     
    3. Network Operations Center (NOC)

    Proponent must have an established and functioning NOC at one or more facilities in Canada that it owns or leases for monitoring and assessing services for active clients 24 X 7 X 365.
    1. Proponent Response to RFP
    The Proponent’s response to RFP #202501007 must be attached to the Contract / Managed Services Agreement.
    1. Security Professional Services          
    Operate a credible Professional services practice that includes security operations strategy & planning.
     
    6. Vendor Assessment (Cybersecurity)

    Proponent must provide responses in the Vendor Assessment document.
    1. Ownership of Goods
    Any products, licenses, software, accessories and any other material needed to be purchased must solely belong to VIA exclusively.
    Service plans, subscriptions, portal services and any other services must but be issued or registered under the name of VIA Rail Canada Inc.
    1. Service Management and Ticketing
    Proponent must use (or integrate with) VIA’s IT service management and ticketing solution (ServiceNow) for incident management and response activities, before end of transition period of Phase 1.
