Description:
The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the provision of The Supply and Install of Integrated 3D Movement Analysis Systems, as further described herein.
The Integrated 3D Movement Analysis Systems will support advanced research into human movement by enabling detailed investigation of motion and forces during functional activities. These activities include tasks such as walking, reaching, balance, and other movements performed by adults and children with musculoskeletal and communicative disorders, as well as individuals with varying levels of mobility.
The systems will combine multiple complementary technologies, including optical motion capture (both marker‑based and markerless) and inertial measurement unit (IMU)‑based motion capture. These technologies will be fully integrated with floor‑mounted force plates, wireless electromyography, and biomechanical modelling software to allow synchronized, multi‑modal data collection and analysis. The integrated solution must support both controlled in‑lab assessments and flexible in‑field or clinic‑based evaluations.
The equipment will be installed in a dedicated laboratory located in Elborn College at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, and will be used by an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation researchers with varied expertise, supporting a wide range of research and clinical applications.
Budget:
The estimated budget for this project is CAD $366,700 plus HST.
