Description:
This RFP invites qualified Proponents to submit Proposals for the development of an Economic Impact Report and/or an Alumni Impact Report (the “Report(s)”). The purpose of the Reports is to assess and quantify Western’s impact and value across local, regional, provincial, national, and global communities.
High-Level Summary
The Economic Impact Report will quantify Western’s annual economic contribution, including direct, indirect, and induced impacts. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to, analysis of institutional operations, out-of-region student expenditures, the economic value of academic programs, the institution’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the impact of research and scholarship activities.
The resulting Economic Impact Report is intended to support evidence-based engagement with governments, industry, and other stakeholders by demonstrating the return on investment and broader economic contributions associated with the institution.
The Alumni Impact Report will provide a complementary analysis focused on the social and economic contributions of Western’s alumni. This Report will assess indicators such as career outcomes, employment and job creation, leadership roles, community engagement, and philanthropic activity.
Findings from the Alumni Impact Report will inform institutional efforts related to student recruitment, alumni engagement, and advancement by articulating the broader societal impact of Western graduates across diverse regions and sectors.
Collectively, the Reports are intended to strengthen Western’s positioning by providing credible, data-driven evidence of its contributions to economic development and societal well-being, thereby supporting institutional reputation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making.
