D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Granular Rehabilitation and Associated Works (See APPENDIX A for maps of locations noted
below).
(i) Kingston Crescent Alley from West Limit to Riverdale Avenue - South Side of Kingston
Crescent
(ii) Kingston Cr Alley from Riverdale Avenue to East Limit - South Side of Kingston Crescent
(iii) Kingston Row Alley from Edinburgh Street to Killarney Street - South Side of Kingston Row
(iv) Parkville Drive Alley from Pulberry Street to 37 Parkville Drive (Concrete Limit) - North
Side of Parkville Drive
D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Granular Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i) Excavation;
(ii) Concrete and asphalt pavement removal;
(iii) Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(iv) Placement of geotextile fabric and geogrid;
(v) Placement and compaction of sub-base material;
(vi) Placement and compaction of base-course material;
(vii) Construction of 150mm concrete pavement (reinforced);
(viii) Construction of 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(ix) Construction of 180mm integral barrier curb;
(x) Construction of 150mm doweled barrier curb;
(xi) Construction of 40mm integral lip curb;
(xii) Construction of 180mm integral modified barrier curb;
(xiii) Placement of asphalt pavement tie-ins – Type MS3;
(xiv) Adjustment of manhole frames, covers and lifter rings;
(xv) Grading boulevards;
(xvi) Regrading of sidewalk blocks;
(xvii) Placement and compaction of topsoil; and
(xviii) Placement of grass seed.
