SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Notice of Intended Procurement (NOIP) to inform the market of an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) and to achieve the following objectives:

RFP Closing January/February 2027
Evaluation and Clarification Activities Q1 ~ Q2 2027
Factory Inspections and Negotiations Q2 2027
Contract Award Q2 ~ Q3 2027

SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Notice of Intended Procurement (NOIP) to inform the market of an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) and to achieve the following objectives:
- Introduce Manitoba Hydro's upcoming HVDC Converter Transformer procurement requirements to prospective suppliers.
- Provide advance notice of the upcoming RFP 043651 and allow suppliers additional time for planning and resource allocation.
- Confirm continued market interest and supplier availability to support Manitoba Hydro's long-term HVDC converter transformer requirements.
- Advise suppliers of Manitoba Hydro's intent to establish long-term framework agreements supporting future HVDC converter transformer procurements.
