RFP WASTEWATER FACILITIES DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

This RFP is issued by Colliers Project Leaders Inc. acting on behalf of the Municipality of the District of Guysborough (MODG). MODG is seeking to retain a Prime Design Consultant team for the Wastewater Facilities Design Project. The design of the proposed MODG Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades must include the following specific objectives: -Meet all applicable environmental regulations and requirements. -Be energy-efficient and cost-effective. -Common design/equipment across both facilities is considered high priority for ease of maintenance and operations. -Allow for future expansion to accommodate significant population growth and changing regulatory requirements. -Accommodate transfer from existing system to new facility without interruption. -Ensure continuous operation during equipment failures, power failures or maintenance.  -Include automation and process monitoring where appropriate. -Design in line with a safe working environment for facility personnel. -Propose a Guysborough site that integrates with the existing infrastructure and is logical and practical. -Develop a package that is Tender ready by January 2028; this is considered a critical milestone date.
