Traffic Calming 2026

The work is located within the community of Elmsdale in the Municipality of East Hants Work under this Contract consists of the following: Speed Tables • Work consists of milling and removal of existing Asphalt, Installation and compaction of Speed Tables, Survey points per HRM Detail 143 & 144 - January 2023 edition, ensure consistency with previously installed speed tables within the same area, painting of “Sharks Teeth” on all approaches, and installation of sign posts at locations identified by East Hants. All Way Stop • Installation of signposts along with associated pavement markings as shown on the attached drawing marked All Way stop configuration. All miscellaneous work and incidentals associated with the above items. The Work includes all traffic control and detours as per the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (NSTIR) Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual. The Work includes reinstatement of all disturbed areas to pre-construction condition or better.
