RFP-General Contractor – Planning, procurement, construction and move management services

The Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) is relocating its head office to 137 Venture Run, Dartmouth. The new premises are in a LEED Gold certified building, spanning two floors and nearly ready for occupancy. WCB is seeking a General Contractor (GC) to manage the entire relocation process, which includes: General Contractor Management: - Single-source management for the entire project. - Coordination with WCB support staff. - Provision of engineering, procurement, construction, technology, security, and move management services. - Ensuring the move is completed by September 1, 2025. Construction Management: - Handling all necessary agreements and permits. - Compliance with relevant building and fire codes. - Implementation of WCB-provided design and layout. - Improvement of a 5,000 sq. ft. space, including creation of construction plans and drawings. Security and Move Management: - Implementation of security specifications. - Coordination of the move of equipment and furniture from the current office to the new location. Technology and IT Move Management: - Implementation of IT and telecommunication specifications. - Coordination of the move of IT equipment. Signage Requirements: - Design, procurement, and installation of signage as per landlord expectations.
