Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a consultant. The purpose of this project is to engage the services of a consultant to assist with the development of a Needs Assessment for SHIP by conduct an environmental scan, reviewing prevalence of risk factors that lead to health issues and impact of the determinants of health, reviewing sectoral trends, holding focus groups and reviewing internal metrics of client met and unmet needs.
Success will include a detailed report summarizing and documenting the review of findings along with short, medium and long-term recommendations on how best to meet the needs of community members. The objective of the plan is identification of the most important needs of SHIPs population to develop targeted services with better measureable outcomes.
SHIP is a non-profit charitable, accredited (Exemplary Standing), housing and health service provider. For over 30 years, we have been delivering services to the Region of Peel, County of Dufferin, West Toronto and most recently the Region of Waterloo. We promote the well-being of vulnerable and at risk populations and we work closely with individuals in our community, enabling them to embrace their full potential. Our approach encourages participation in planning and directing personalized supports to ensure clients receive the best possible care.
