General Contractor Services for Renovation of Biosciences Q-DARE

This Request for Proposals is an invitation by Queen’s University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for General Contractor Services for Renovation of Biosciences QDARE Research Laboratory.This project encompasses three (3) scopes of work located at the Queen’s University Bioscience Complex: the renovation for a research facility, replacement of the existing Bioscience Building emergency generator, and modification of the existing base building north-east intake louvres. The new facility will be located at the north end of Level 1 of the Bioscience building and will include a variety of housing and procedure rooms as well as support spaces for sterilization and material storage. This space will also utilize specialized laboratory equipment such as sterilizers, rack washers, a bedding handling system, and an auto-watering system to support laboratory activities. Mechanical and electrical services are also required to support the lab with work taking place in Level 1 electrical rooms, Level 2 mechanical rooms and on the Level 5 roof.
