Description
This statement outlines the scope and primary deliverables for Phase B of Phase 2 of the ongoing infrastructure improvement project in Clarence-Rockland, Ontario. Phase A, now complete, involved the construction of a berm to facilitate the relocation of existing Hydro One infrastructure, as well as the installation of a 79.5-metre-long culvert measuring 2.4 metres in height by 4.8 metres in width.
Phase B will advance the project with the construction of two new roundabouts. The scope of work includes the importation and placement of approximately over 13,000 cubic meters of fill material required for grading and road base development. This phase also includes the installation of sanitary sewers (provisional), storm sewers, watermain infrastructure, and all associated utilities, including streetlight installation. It also includes the abandonment of an existing 276-metre-long watermain and general landscaping, including the landscaping of the roundabout centre islands and restoration of disturbed areas with topsoil, sod, and hydroseed.
A key consideration during construction is that the west and south legs of the intersection at Poupart Road and St-Jean Street must remain open to traffic at all times. St-Jean Street will be closed between Docteur Corbeil Boulevard and the intersection with Poupart Road. Contractors will be required to plan and stage all work activities accordingly to maintain the traffic access.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
