Ontario Medium Helicopter Aerial Wildland Fire Services

The Ministry is seeking the provision of up to fourteen (14) Medium Category Helicopters to support wildland fire suppression activities primarily in the Province of Ontario, during each Fire Season during the Term of the Contract. Helicopters may also be moved by the Ministry, at its option, to other provinces or territories of Canada, or to other states in the United States of America, as may be needed and described in greater detail herein.

The contemplated Contracts will be for the provision of up to fourteen (14) Medium Category Helicopters in total, with one (1) Vendor assigned to each Main Base for two (2) years (2026 and 2027 Fire Seasons), with options exercisable by the Ministry to extend the Term of the contract for up to two (2) additional terms of up to two (2) years each.

The Ministry is seeking up to fourteen (14) Medium Category Helicopters with the following criteria:

Fourteen (14) Belly Tank Equipped Helicopters with Transport Canada approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the belly tank equipment that permits carrying of passengers while in use

The Deliverables are required to support the Ministry’s annual wildland fire suppression operations, in particular the insertion and extraction of wildland fire suppression personnel and the conducting of water-bombing and slinging operations.
