RFP for the services of a mental health professional, namely a psychologist, to provide ongoing psychological oversight during the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a new Peer Support Program.
The psychologist will assist the Ministry Peer Support Coordinator in developing program frameworks and methodologies, training materials, and best practices for providing peer support sessions in-person, virtually, or via other telecommunication methods such as text message.
The psychologist will use a trauma-informed approach when developing/designing program frameworks, methodologies, principles, training practices, and best practices.
The psychologist will apply a diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-oppression lens when developing/designing program frameworks, methodologies, principles, training materials, and best practices.
The Ministry’s new Peer Support Program will consist of an internal team of self-nominated employees, referred to as ‘Peer Supporters’ to be trained by the psychologist to provide immediate support to colleagues potentially impacted by work-related trauma, coping difficulties, personal crisis, and / or stressful life events.
The psychologist will support the Ministry Peer Support Coordinator, who will act as a liaison between the psychologist, the Peer Supporters, and the Ministry.

Contract duration
