RFP-2024-28 Festival Fireworks Displays

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Port Colborne (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Festival Fireworks Displays for Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, Canada Day & New Years Eve, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The City of Port Colborne hosts and supports a multitude of events in a calendar year. Our premier events include Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, Canada Day, and the New Years Eve Family Celebration all of which include a fireworks display. The largest festival in Port Colborne is Canal Days and in 2024, the city will be hosting the 46^th annual festival. The Canal Days festival includes a three-day Concert Series, a street festival, classic car show, and more. The dates for the 46^th annual Canal Days are August 2-5. 

The Canal Days and Canada Day firework shows are shot over the Welland Canal in downtown Port Colborne. The New Years Eve firework show is at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre and T.A. It is the intent of the City to enter into an initial (2) two-year agreement for Festival Fireworks Displays with up to (3) three 1-year optional extensions.
