    Description
Harkness Laboratory of Fisheries Research (the “Site)”is a field station focusing on ecological research for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry. The Site is located on the shore of Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Provincial Park (45.635099, -78.363541).
The Owner is seeking a Contractor to construct and supply labour and materials for the construction of a four-season cabin on the Site based the engineered drawings attached in Schedule 5 – Contract Drawings (the “Facility’). The Owner commissioned engineered drawings for a cabin with six bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining room, and a meeting room. In 2022 a well was drilled and a septic system installed on the Site to facilitate the construction of the Facility. The purpose of the new Facility will be variable depending on the need for accommodations at the Site during the winter months. Some years the Facility will be shut down for the whole winter while other years it may be used for the entire winter. Another key aspect of this cabin design is that it was designed to be accessible on the main floor. The Contractor will supply all labour and materials for the construction of the Facility accordance with the Contract Drawings attached as Schedule 5, the Standard Specifications as Schedule 6, and the other provisions of this Contract.

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
