ALICE AVENUE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is seeking bid submissions from qualified vendors (respondent) to the provision of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the proposed drainage improvement works along Alice Avenue, in Keswick, Ontario, including drainage upgrades to a portion of Metro Road N and Boyers Road (work).

The overall scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

1. Removal of existing entrance culverts, and replacement with new culverts, including new bedding/cover materials and end treatments; 
2. Supply of custom concrete box culverts of various sizes as specified on the contract drawings, provided in APPENDIX G – DRAWINGS; 
3. Removal and disposal of existing driveway asphalt and gravel at the location of the proposed culvert replacements, and restoration using appropriate materials following culvert installation;
4. Roadside ditch regrading, including the removal and disposal of excess fill and vegetation; 
5. Ditch restoration, including topsoil placement and hydroseeding;
6. Removal of existing road cross culverts at Cedar Grove Road, Alice Avenue, Pine Post Road, and Metro Road North, and replacement with new culverts including new bedding/cover material; 
7. Road asphalt removal at cross culvert replacement locations, and asphalt restoration following culvert installation, including all required pavement markings;
8. Protection and temporary support of existing utilities; and, 
9. Restoration of all required staging areas to existing condition or better.
