    Defence Construction Canada - RQ - Construction of Nanisivik Naval Facility, Nanisivik, Nunavut
    
    Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is inviting Contractors to submit Statements of Qualifications, which meet the requirements specified in the Request for Qualifications (RQ) documents for the construction of Department of National Defence facilities to be located at Nanisivik, Nunavut.
    
    Construction expertise is required in the following specific areas:
    •    remote Arctic environments
    •    marine facilities (utility jetties, floats and maintenance berths)
    •    bulk fuel systems (tank farms and associated infrastructure)
    •    modular buildings
    •    site services and utilities
    
    Information provided by Contractors will be evaluated using the established criteria in the Request for Qualifications (RQ). The criteria relate to previous experience. All Contractors who satisfy the mandatory requirements and attain the minimum Total Score in the RQ phase will be invited to participate in a subsequent Tender.
    
    This qualification follows procedures in accordance with Chapter 5 of AIT and Chapter 10 of NAFTA.
    
    The estimated construction cost of this project is in the order of $56,000,000.
    
    Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to make their submissions for pre qualification on the forms that are available on line from the MERX website at www.merx.com or by calling 1-800-964-6379.
    
    To be considered, submissions must be received at the following address, no later than
    14:00 HOURS LOCAL TIME, TUESDAY, JULY 09, 2013.
