Advance Contract Award Notice – FME update

Explanation of what an ACAN is:
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award.

Project description:
The Department of Natural Resources Canada requires services from Safe Software to complete annual maintenance and updates on FME ESRI edition software in use at the Center for Topographic Information of Sherbrooke. 

Estimated cost of the proposed contract:  34 320.00$, applicables taxes extra

Applicable trade agreements:
This contract is not subject to any fait trade agreement. 

Period of contract and delivery date:  
Update will be completed at contract award and the contract will be valid until Mach 31, 2014.

Justification for exclusive supplier:
Since FME is a trademark, only Safe Software has the right to update and maintains the software already own by NRCan. 
 
Suppliers' right to submit a statement of capabilities:
Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services and/or goods described herein, may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.

Closing date for a submission of a statement of capabilities:
June 27, 2013, 2:00 pm AET
