    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:
    This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
    Security Requirements:
    NIL security screening required as there is no access to sensitive information or assets.
    Contractor personnel will be escorted in specific areas of the institution as and where required by Correctional Service Canada personnel or those authorized by CSC on its behalf. CSC has developed very stringent internal policies to ensure that the security of institutional operations is not compromised.
    Contractor personnel shall submit to local verification of identify/information through an authorized use of the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) and must adhere to institutional requirements for the conduction of searches by Correctional Service Canada, prior to admittance to the requisite institution.
    Correctional Service Canada reserves the right to deny access to any institution of any Contractor personnel.
    Nature of Requirements:
    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
    Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for all labour,material and equipment for monthly inspection and repair of three passenger elevators and three dock levelers at 1575 Homer Watson Blvd. Kitchener , Ontario. In addition to scheduled inspections, emergency repair will be required 24 hours per day/seven days per week within a one hour response time from time of request.
    Objectives:
    Deliverables: Statement of Work
    The Contractor must provide inspections of the elevators and dock levelers. An inspection schedule will be established by the Project Authority on a monthly basis. The contractor must supply a detailed Work Order listing all deficiencies or state that there are no deficiencies with the inspected device. The Work Order Inspection certificates for completed work will be required prior to authorizing payment and must be signed by the Project authority prior to the Contractor leaving the premises.
    Response time: The routine response time is one working day from receipt of request. For an emergency a maximum response time of one hour from receipt of telephone call. Emergency service shall be provided 24 hours per day 7 days a week.

    (Bins belonging to the Institution are not the responsibility of the contractor)
    Pick up waste on a weekly basis (on the same day Monday to Friday) with the exception of Statutory Holiday's.
    Supply of all labour, materials and equipment necessary to collect, transport and properly dispose of the organic waste in accordance with Provincially/Federally/Municipal laws.
    Obtain an on-site lift ticket showing weight of organic waste every pickup and return same to the technical authority daily (or at the time of pickup)
    Assume responsibility for the organic waste once it is removed from the site.
    Handle, collect and transport all waste in a manner that avoids spillage. Any spillage of waste shall be reported immediately to the technical authority and the contractor shall be responsible to initiate containment and cleanup procedures. This contractor agrees to complete this work when required at no additional charge to the Institution or Corrections Canada.
    Assume the risk of all adverse conditions foreseeable such as vehicle breakdowns/availability, waste spillage etc. and agrees to resume waste collection at no extra cost to the Institution.
    Ensure all its vehicles are clean and in sound mechanical condition. Any vehicle leaking oil, hydraulic, fuel or other deleterious fluids shall be denied access to the Institution. Any spill from a vehicle is to be contained and the technical authority must be informed immediately.
    A copy of all relevant licences to conduct business in the area of waste pickup and disposal shall be provided to the Institution prior to commencement of the awarded contract.
    Grand Valley Institution reserves the right to change the pickup schedule, or increase/decrease the amount of bins in response to the increase/decrease to future waste requirements. The winning contractor will be advised one week in advance to an increase/decrease.
