Solutions-Based Informatics Professional Services (SBIPS) Requirement

This requirement is for:  Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO)

This requirement is open only to those Supply Arrangement Holders who qualified under Tier "1" (requirements up to and including $2M) stream for Systems Integration.

This requirement is open only to those invited SBIPS Supply Arrangement Holders who qualified under the domain for:  Systems Integration

The following SA Holders have been invited to submit a proposal.

Description of the requirement:

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has a requirement for one informatics specialist with experience in conducting system performance testing and analysis of results as well as with the implementation of load balance adjustments to optimize performance for Oracle Financials.

The Department is in the process of implanting an upgrade to its Oracle e-business suite to release 12.  As part of the upgrade initiative, the database management system for Oracle is also being upgraded from 10G to 11G and the Operating System supporting the Oracle Application is being changed from “Linux on power” to AIX.  The Oracle Application currently resides on HP Proliant Servers and will be moving to an IBM P-Series Enterprise Class Server (virtual server architecture).

Given the numerous adjustments to the application, database, operating systems and hardware there is a need to conduct performance testing and potentially initiate load balance adjustments for the new target production environment.

Proposed period of contract:

The proposed period of contract shall be from date of contract award to November 29, 2013.
